The 2008-2009 academic year will mark Paul Hise’s fifth as Lubbock Christian University’s Athletic Director. An LCU basketball player from 1987 to 1991, Hise graduated from LCU with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree certified to teach History and Kinesiology, and has since gone on to complete a Masters of Education in Sports Administration degree from Texas Tech University. In reference to his position at LCU, Hise has this to say: “God has blessed LCU with an exceptional group of coaches, faculty, and staff, and I feel very fortunate to get the opportunity to work together with them. Chaparral athletics has enjoyed great success in the past, and I am looking forward to its continued growth and excellence in the future.” Paul is married to the former Ms. Carol Pendergrass, who played basketball for the Lady Chaps from 1990 to 1994 and was inducted into the LCU Hall of Honor in 2000. They have two daughters: Jordan (13) and Jacey (10).
